In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF)

IVF-ICSI is the most advanced technology available to help the couples realise their dream of having a baby. During the treatment, the woman’s ovaries are stimulated with hormone injections to produce multiple eggs. These eggs are retrieved through a small needle and in the fertility laboratory, they are fertilised with the spouse’s sperms. The fertilised egg, called an embryo, is then put back into the woman’s womb to grow and develop.

Mira Fertility Center is one of the Best IVF Center in Hyderabad, Telangana to provide affordable IVF Treatment in Hyderabad with very good success rates.

IVF Treatment

What Are the Steps of IVF Treatment?

Step 1: Before your actual IVF cycle starts, the couple will have a thorough clinical examination, blood tests and ultrasound scan. This will help us understand your requirements and plan a personalised treatment strategy for you. All the steps will be counselled to you in detail and you will be advised some fertility supplements and hormones, if required.

Step 2: When you get your menses, on the second day of your period, you have to visit the clinic to get an ultrasound scan done and start the hormone injections.

Step 3: Ovarian stimulation will continue for a period of 8-12 days on an average. During this period, you will have daily injections ; frequent scans and blood tests to monitor your egg growth. The dose of the injections are adjusted according to each person’s requirement. When atleast 3 egg follicles reach mature size (>17mm), their final maturity is triggered with HCG injection and egg recovery procedure is scheduled 36 hours after the trigger injection.

Step 4: Egg recovery or Oocyte retrieval is performed under general anesthesia, so it is essentially painless. In this procedure, a fine needle is introduced into the vagina under ultrasound guidance and all the grown follicles (egg bags) are aspirated with a delicate suction. The eggs thus obtained are transferred to the embryology lab for evaluation and fertilisation. After the procedure, you are under observation for a couple of hours. During this time, you may experience minor abdominal cramps and vaginal bleeding. It is advised to have a responsible adult to drive you back home.

Step 5: Fertilization: After obtaining the eggs or oocytes in the embryology lab, they are washed adequately and each egg is cultured with sufficient number of prepared sperms from the spouse anticipating a natural fertilisation – in which case it is called IVF, or the eggs are taken up for ICSI.
